Captain Dave is no stranger to the fishing industry becoming a first mate at the age of 12. At 18, he passed his Captains test and bought the first Best Chance fishing boat. In 1984, he opened Best Chance Sporting Goods, a successful retail store and Charter fishing business. After the sale of the store in 1998, he was able to fish the Tournament Trail full time. In the off season he operates a duck hunting club, a pheasant shooting preserve, and a goose hunting club.

Captain Bill was the manager of Best Chance Sporting Goods for 14 years, and Bale Sporting goods prior to that. This experience has given him tremendous knowledge of the fishing and hunting industry. After the sale of the store in 1998, he became full time captain aboard the BEST CHANCE TOO.
